Activist Codes to Segment Members

Activist codes are tags you can apply to contact records within EveryAction in order to sort your contacts in any way that might be helpful to your campaign.

This could include membership in leadership committees, issue areas people are interested in, food requirements (who is vegetarian/vegan), who has access to a car, or something like who has a big backyard and can host events in post-COVID times.

Activist codes are important because they allow you to sort your list and send specific follow-ups, or campaign asks, to people based on what you already know about their interests, capabilities, and their role in the group.

Let’s say I have volunteers that I know are great storytellers. They might have volunteered to write an op-ed, for example. So I might create an activist code because I have specific ways I can use that pool of volunteers.
