Advocacy forms are a tool for local groups to create template messages (sent via email or twitter) that can be sent to a specific target (e.g. a Governor) or a set of targets (e.g. the State House). When the form is set up, the public can use the form to customize the campaign message and send it to their specific elected representative, as determined by their address.
Advocacy forms are only available to groups who have profiles on EveryAction. If your group is not signed up for EA, click here to learn more about the tool and apply to use it.
This is an example of an EveryAction advocacy form being used by Generation Progress. You can see that it is targeted to state legislators, but what state legislator the message is sent to, will depend on my address information.
